Other than the previously reported wet weather racing, the sixth installment of the Xbox-exclusive car-racing video game “Forza Motorsport” will introduce something for the first time in its history – a mod system.
Bill Geise, Creative Director of Turn 10 Studios, which is developing the game, says the new mod system on “Forza Motorsport 6” shall add a customizable difficulty setting to the game, which means a player can adjust the degree of challenge he wants to take on in playing the game, notes Gamezone.
Accordingly, a gamer can start at the back of the pole position if he so chooses with no rewinds so winning will require extreme perfection. The higher the difficulty setting is for the game, the higher the rewards would be for the player.
The gamer shall have increase XP and huge cash reward winning the race with a higher difficulty setting, which according to Bill Geise, was inspired by the Skull system in “Halo,” thus incorporating the same feature to “Forza Motorsport 6,” details the Gaming Bolt.
The Skull system is a feature in the role-playing game “Halo” which uses mods so players can increase the difficulty that affects the gameplay quite intensely.
The Turn 10 Studios official defends the mod system as not meant to alter the authenticity that they are hoping to achieve with “Forza Motorsport 6” as it is just meant to excite gamers who are looking for more serious challenges in the game.
Geise expects the mod system to make the gameplay of “Forza Motorsport 6” more intense and more exciting while giving the players genuine racing experience when the car-racing video game hits the Xbox One on September 15.
Wet weather racing
Turn 10 Studios has confirmed the wet weather racing feature of “Forza Motorsport 6” during the E3 2015 last month.
Accordingly, the development team at Turn 10 reportedly went to rain-drenched Nurburgring race track in Germany and several other tracks to recreate every single puddle they found, which means that gamers will be virtually driving through real puddles when they play the game.
The sixth iteration of the popular and critically acclaimed series of racing video games shall be running at 1080-pixel and 60 frames per second when it hits the Xbox 360 and the Xbox One on September 15.
Based on its recently released trailer, “Forza Motorsport 6” really looks great which would be more than enough to give “Project CARS” a run for its money in the battle for the best racing video game on Xbox.
The racing game franchise is Microsoft’s answer to “Gran Turismo” on the PlayStation gaming systems so “Forza Motorsport 6” is expected to compete head on with the upcoming “Gran Turismo 7” which is a PlayStation exclusive.
