Microsoft has released a new firmware update through Windows Update to its flagship tablet-laptop combo, the Surface Pro 3, to prepare the device for the coming of Windows 10 in July.
The latest software update, which arrived starting on June 23, did not come over-the-air with new and additional features to the Surface Pro 3, but merely laid down the groundwork for the possible arrival of new features and functions once the Windows 10 is officially unravelled.
Among those preparatory features include the Surface Pro UEFI update which adds support for upcoming features in Windows 10; the Wireless Network Controller and Bluetooth driver update that improve the system stability and Wi-Fi connectivity experience as well as increases the network download performance; and the SATA AHCI Controller driver update that stabilizes deployment methodology on the Surface Pro 3, details the Vine Report.
