‘Final Fantasy XV’ Magic to be Activated through Special Rings to be Worn by Player Character!

While most of the news about the highly-anticipated role-playing game “Final Fantasy XV” is about its release date and its latest gameplay trailer, one exciting element in the game that has caught the attention of astute gamers is the magic powers that player characters can possess in the game.

It was actually game director Hajime Tabata who first spoke about it during an interview at the Gamescom 2015 held at Cologne, Germany in August where he said that “Final Fantasy XV” shall have a different magic system compared to its predecessor games.

Tabata detailed that magic in the role-playing game can actually be activated through special rings to be worn by player characters in the course of the game. But the special rings, as expected, have to be earned first by the player.

The game director added that the magic in “Final Fantasy XV” would not come out directly from the characters hands, but it will be a manipulation of the elements in the environment, notes Geek Snack.

Two different types of magic in the game

There shall be two different types of magic in “Final Fantasy XV.” The first type is a special one that only those from the Lucis family can use. He did not disclose the second type of magic in the game.

Tabata also said during Gamescom 2015 that magic in the game is only 60% complete and that is why the game developer is still working on it until it becomes fully functional.

The game director said that the magic in “Final Fantasy XV” still leaves something to be desired in the visual department.

Supposed announcement of release date

Game developer Square Enix was supposed to announce the official release date of the highly-anticipated role-playing game “Final Fantasy XV” on the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 during the Gamescom 2015 held in Cologne, Germany in August or in the pre-Tokyo Game Show 2015 press conference in September, but none of that happened.

Instead, Square Enix released online an extended “Final Fantasy XV” trailer at the press conference before the TGS 2015 which it officially called as ‘Dawn’ which sure drew further excitement to the game.

The latest trailer actually retains much of the material from the original “Final Fantasy XV’ trailer, also called as ‘Dawn’ at the Gamescom 2015 in Germany.

What seems to catch the attention of fans and gamers is that at the end of the extended ‘Dawn’ trailer of “Final Fantasy XV” there are words ‘Coming 2016’ emblazoned clearly and confidently on the screen, which indicates that the game is finally coming out next year.

That is the best news that the new trailer has brought to gamers thus far because up until the time before it was released, Square Enix has been very silent about the release date or timeframe within which it will release the “Final Fantasy XV.”

Notwithstanding the countless delays that the previous game, “Final Fantasy Versus XIII” encountered before it was finally released, the 2016 release date window is a relief to the anxiously waiting gamers because they can already heave a sigh of relief that the game is indeed coming very soon.

The latest trailer of “Final Fantasy XV” actually shows Luna, the female protagonist of the video game, sitting in a room under guard by a bunch of Knight Templar types armed with modern rifles.

The trailer begins with the phrase 15 years ago and thus flashes back to that time period where Luna was seen being hurled to the ground by the same manner of sinister armed soldier and cowering away as thunder and lightning flash outside.

Then the hulking medieval knights poking guns in cars at military checkpoints are shown before it returns to Luna being approached by the man as she crawls backward away from him.
