Least suspenseful
The series finale of “The Walking Dead” Season 5 was regarded as the least suspenseful among all the five series finales of the show since 2011. The actions and the encounter with the walkers, which is always the highlight of the series, were few and far in between. Worst, there were actually more dialogues uttered during the 90-minute show than a series finale would normally have.
Back in the series finale of Season 4 in 2014, Rick’s group reached the Terminus only to find out that the people who were running the facility were cannibals and they were all apprehended and detained in a train coach.
Fans were left hanging in suspense back then as to what will happen to Rick’s group, whether they will be eaten by the people at the Terminus or whether they can escape their ordeal while the walkers continue to roam around the facility.
For the series finale of Season 5 however, the creators and writers of the show remained cyclical with all the actions, consistent actually with what they turned the entire fifth season to be. It was like watching a roller coaster ride that goes up and down in terms of excitement.
