The erotic romance film “Fifty Shades of Grey” featured Christian Grey, played by Jamie Dornan as the billionaire playboy who introduced Anastasia Steele, played by Dakota Johnson, to the world of BDSM, as his latest submissive.
Based on the latest reports, the sequel of the movie, “Fifty Shades Darker,” shall see a role reversal between Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele because Christian shall become Ana’s submissive, reports Yibada.
It would be very interesting how the role reversal would happen but it is certainly something to look forward to as far as viewers and fans are concerned when the film hits theaters in February next year.
It could be recalled that when Christian introduced Ana to his world of BDSM, she had difficulty adjusting to it because it was both painful and stressful. But since she fell in love with Christian, and BDSM was already part of him, she decided to just go for the ride.
On the part of Christian, since he has already fallen for Ana, he finds it also difficult to inflict pain on her which is his challenge in the upcoming sequel “Fifty Shades Darker.”
The movie shall also look into the backstory of Christian on how he developed the fetish for BDSM, which according to reports started when he was the submissive of Mrs. Robinson, to be played by veteran actress Kim Basinger. It was Mrs. Robinson who introduced Christian into the world of BDSM and it has since stuck to him.
Eventually, after parting ways with Mrs. Robinson, Christian took on a new submissive in Leila Williams, played by Bella Heathcote. When they broke up, he decided to bring Ana into his world as well. But unlike his two experiences, he fell in love with Ana, which makes the BDSM more of an obstacle rather than a process of making love.
Crossing paths with the exes of Christian
Interestingly, the plotlines of “Fifty Shades Darker” shall also see Ana crossing paths with both Mrs. Robinson and Leila, who shall both attempt to drive a wedge in their relationship.
But considering that Christian and Ana will eventually tie the knot towards the latter part of the movie, it seems clear that the efforts of Mrs. Robinson and Leila shall prove futile no matter how ridiculous, albeit drastic, some of them are going to be.
In fact, the last few scenes of “Fifty Shades Darker” shall see the newly-wed couple having a romantic interlude and honeymoon in Paris.
Several behind-the-scene shots of Jamie and Dakota showed the two of them enjoying bicycle rides and a visit to the Louvre museum.

While there are scenes in “Fifty Shades Darker” that are still being shot in Paris, France, the movie completed its filming in Vancouver, Canada,” reports E! Online.
Author E.L. James made the confirmation when she posted on Instagram on July 4 that back-to-back filming for “Fifty Shades Darker” and “Fifty Shades Freed” was already a wrap in Vancouver alongside a photo of herself and director James Foley.
James also expressed her gratitude to the most fantastic crew and production team of the two movies and cited that they are all amazing.
Although filming is already a wrap in Canada, lead stars Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson are still doing some shoots in Paris but they are about to complete it also in about a week’s time or so.
The next two movies of the “Fifty Shades of Grey” erotic romance trilogy were filmed back to back although the two films would be released to theaters one year apart from each other.
It has become the norm of many movies as of late beginning with the two-part final movie of “The Hunger Games” entitled as “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Parts 1 and 2” and also by the last two movies of the “Divergent” film franchise entitled as “Divergent: Allegiant” and “Divergent: Ascendant.”
