Fifty Shades Darker to Likely Feature Dramatic Slap Scene from the Original Book!

When “Fifty Shades Darker” comes out next year, fans are apparently going to see some very specific scenes from the original book represented on the screen. It sounds like the producers have been putting a lot of thought into which scenes should make it into the final cut, and recently actress Marcia Gay has opened up about her own role, describing one of the moments her character is going to be involved in.

The scene she specifically mentioned takes place at a party, and involves her character slapping Elena after she realizes her past with Christian Grey. It sounds like the right opportunity for some extra character development for all three involved, so we expect the producers to pay a lot of attention to that particular moment.

Of course, the film won’t be all about that one moment. We’ve been hearing various reports about “Fifty Shades Darker”, and it sounds like fans of the original book will get plenty of chances to revisit some of the more exciting pages they’ve read.

For example, we’re going to see the heavy involvement of Mrs. Robinson, and it sounds like her role will be a little more developed compared to what she was like in the book. There is plenty of opportunity in this story for the producers to include some extra moments of tension and really bring out the primal in their characters, so we expect them to go to some great lengths in this regard.

Some fans are apparently particularly excited for the inclusion of Leila in the new film, and it’s not hard to see why. The instability of her character will surely give the producers plenty of opportunities for some interesting moments in the film, and we also wouldn’t be surprised if they even included some new scenes with her that were not in the original story.

After all, the whole point of extending the book to a film is to present things from a new angle and give fans something new to think about. Successful conversions have usually included plenty of additional material to make it worth the fans’ time. And judging by how the first film was handled, we trust that the producers of “Fifty Shades Darker” know exactly what they’re doing.

The controversial nature of both the books as well as the first film seems to actually be working in their favor. There is no denying the strong popularity of the brand name at the moment, and it’s basically become a money printer for the rights holders.

Hopefully this doesn’t mean that the franchise is about to see a decline in quality though, as this is not a rare occurrence with all kinds of entertainment. The nature of the original “Fifty Shades of Grey”, described by some as exploitative, makes it even more susceptible to this type of problem, so we are definitely curious to see what will happen with the brand a few years from now, and if it will prevail.

Fifty Shades Darker

That’s actually a subtle issue for the “Fifty Shades” brand, according to some. On one hand, people have come to expect a certain approach to the storytelling and overall plot which may seem cheap to some. On the other, leaning too heavily in that direction will quickly ruin the franchise, and it’s a fine balance that has to be maintained if new works are to be released.
