The first movie in the trilogy was also delayed when it came time to start the filming process. It was supposed to start in November of 2013, but it was pushed out one month and it was released on time. Mostly due to the fact that filming was only two months long, the producers had almost one full year before release.
That is not going to be the case with Fifty Shades Darker, as it was reported, this movie has a shorter production schedule to adhere to. If the filming gets delayed again, that could push filming into the month of April and now the time frame for post-production just got a lot tighter.
Even though there would be ten full months to produce the film, sometimes that can be barely enough time. The movie is expected to open in theaters around the country in February of 2017, with the last movie, Fifty Shades Freed, hitting theaters about one year later, according to sources.
