Those who have been following the progress of Fifth Harmony through the last months are most likely in eager anticipation of their very first album – and now, the band have shared a little information on what recording the songs was like, and the kind of work they’ve had to put into it. It’s not rare for musicians to talk about their experience around the release of a new album, but it’s always particularly interesting to read these stories when they concern the debut album of a band that’s already become popular before its release.
The album has taken two years to record and produce, and according to Ally Brooke, it was a lot of hard work. The band has apparently really gone all the way in order to make sure that everyone is pleased, but they’ve also left some more sensitive themes throughout their songs. They have gone on a journey to explore their own musical style, Brooke stated, and judging by how excited the band are about their own album, it seems like their hard work is about to pay off in just a couple of weeks when the album hits the market.
In addition, Brooke also talked about her experience as a pop star, saying that she had to grow out of her ideas of the career that she had as a child, and she wasn’t expecting the job to be so difficult and intense. And yet, it could all pay off for her and her bandmates if the band’s first album takes off, and from what it looks like, there’s a pretty good chance that this is exactly what’s going to happen.
The album will feature a sample from a Mariah Carey track, a small “spoiler” for it says – more specifically, her song “Always Be My Baby”, which will be featured on the band’s “Like Mariah”, a tribute to Mariah Carey herself.
The album is currently scheduled for February 3, and two tracks from it have already released as singles to mostly positive reception. Many critics – and fans – have strong expectations for this release, and the album has been receiving an appropriate level of promotion to go with its release as well. If this release is successful, the band could have a lot of success in the future, seeing as how they’ve already managed to establish a pretty large fan base for themselves, and the huge hype their first album has generated.
