FIFA 16 Soundtrack Officially Announced, How Will the Game Differ Across Platforms? Let’s See

The “FIFA” series has always put a strong emphasis on the quality of its soundtrack, and some of the games are still remembered fondly for their great selection of music. And of course, it’s no wonder that “FIFA 16” continues this trend by introducing even more fantastic tracks and releasing with forty different songs from various artists – some well-known, some not so much.

Fans of the game are going to hear music from different genres and by lots of different artists, and names in the list include Foals, Bastille and Disclosure. As usual, the game’s developers have obviously put a lot of effort into picking a very carefully selected list that represents music tastes from various different styles, and they’ve managed to successfully craft the perfect combination of tracks to suit the preferences of as many fans as possible.

Steve Schnur, an EA executive, actually confirmed that “FIFA” is seen as a very important franchise by the company in terms of helping gamers discover new music, and they’ve been actively using every recent installment in order to promote rising artists and bring them into the spotlight. And considering how much attention some of the game’s fans traditionally put on the soundtrack, this actually sounds like a fantastic idea.

Many of the franchise’s fans have been discussing how they’ve come to discover various different tracks with the help of “FIFA” in the past, and some who’ve been playing these games for a bit longer actually grew up with that music to some extent, discovering lots of interesting different styles thanks to “FIFA” first and foremost.

Something else that Schnur added was that the newest installment in the series aims to cover musical styles from all over the world, in order to make the game as attractive as possible to a wide audience from different countries and continents. While previous games in the franchise have also been doing that to quite the large extent, it appears that “FIFA 16” is going to push this trend even further and really try to diversify the musical selection in the title.

There’s certainly nothing bad about that, and we wouldn’t be surprised if some of the discussions about the new game are focused primarily on the variety of tracks that it offers. Players have already been talking about some of the upcoming tracks specifically, and these discussions sometimes even overtake those about the actual gameplay, so there definitely does seem to be a lot of interest towards the kind of music that will be featured in the game.

Meanwhile, other discussions have been focused on a different topic – the differences between the various platforms that the game will be available on. While EA are going to release “FIFA 16” for last-gen consoles and not just the current generation (Xbox One and PlayStation 4), those playing on older systems will have to deal with the absence of certain features which couldn’t be included in their versions.

The list is not very long but it covers some features that are considered core to the game by some fans, so it’ll be interesting to see how the release plays out and whether everyone is equally satisfied. Hopefully there won’t be any issues within the community and this isn’t going to lead to a divide between players, but even if that does happen, it’s not like EA can do much about the situation. It’s good enough that they’re even releasing the game on older consoles at this point.
