Fast & Furious 8: What Do Fans Want from the Sequel, and How Will Its Production Be Handled in the New Circumstances? Let’s See!

After Paul Walker passed away, many fans of “Fast & Furious” were wondering if they’ll ever see a sequel to the franchise, as it was under question whether even the 7^th movie would be completed. However, Vin Diesel and the rest of the team members pulled through and saw the film fully finished – and even better, it came out to raving reviews, with many fans claiming that it was a worthy successor to the franchise and even going as far as to say that Paul Walker would have been proud to see it if he was still around.

The seventh film in the franchise actually did a great job at sending off Paul Walker properly and giving him one final goodbye, something which many fans saw as a classy move that was also well-deserved for the deceased actor. And while there was some worrying that the film won’t be as successful as previous ones, it was actually one of the most memorable entries in the franchise to date, and all fans enjoyed it a lot.

Now, “Fast & Furious 8” can’t quite rely on the same techniques to get an emotional response out of its fans, that’s true – they can really only reference the death of Paul Walker once before it starts being seen as a cliché and overused. So in all likelihood, the new film isn’t going to make any references to the past, and will be “looking forward”, so to say.

With that in mind, what do fans of the franchise want to see from “Fast & Furious 8” in order to be satisfied with how the franchise is continued? For one thing, it’s clear that everyone wants to see even more explosive action and drama on the screen. These are the basic building blocks of any “Fast & Furious” movie, and the new one should ramp up the action and special effects even more.

Something else that would be good for the new film would be the addition of a new character that’s as interested in cars as Paul Walker was. It’s true that he was the most mechanically-minded of all team members, which made him particularly special in the plot, so if a new character is brought into the film, he should share some similar traits with the original character presented by Walker, at least when it comes to his savviness with cars.

According to fans – and even some critics – the franchise could also benefit from introducing a “best friend” moment between some characters. While it’s true that all of the main characters are like one big family right now, this could be improved upon with some even deeper friendships being introduced. We don’t know which characters the producers might choose for that, but there are certainly lots of potential options in the current lineup in the franchise.

Plus, they might also introduce a new character for that purpose, which would also work well if they give him/her the right combination of traits, and present them in a favorable way. Right now would probably be the best time to introduce a new character to fill the void that has been left over from Paul Walker’s passing, and we’re hopeful that it’s going to be someone interesting, with multiple dimensions to their personality and a lot of depth to explore in detail over more than one installment in the franchise in the future.
