It turns out that it was a publicity stunt all along and the information somewhat slowed down the news on “Fast & Furious 8” which shall officially come out in theaters as “Fast 8” according to Vin Diesel in a previous interview.
What seems to have been overlooked by the ‘feud’ rumors is the casting of Scott Eastwood, son of Clint Eastwood, in the movie to play the role of a character who works alongside Kurt Russell’s Mr. Nobody.
Scott posted an emotional tribute to the late Paul Walker after his casting was announced a few months ago by saying that he and Paul were close friends for years.
It is not clear though if his role is good only for “Fast 8” or his character would extend up to the next two films of the final trilogy for the franchise.
In a recent interview, Vin Diesel also confirmed that that “Fast & Furious 9” will hit cinemas on April 19, 2019, and “Fast & Furious 10” is set to make its debut on April 2, 2021.
The final dates actually sort of confirmed that everything’s well between Vin Diesel and The Rock and whether they push through with their plan to have a match at WrestleMania 33 to further hype up “Fast 8” or not remains to be seen.
