‘Fast & Furious 8’ Trailer to Debut on December 11 and Give Fans a Glimpse of the Latest Excitement that the Franchise Would Bring

Fans of the “Fast & Furious” franchise would be happy to know that the first trailer of the eighth installment to the action ensemble movie series, “Fast & Furious 8,” shall officially come out on December 11.

It was Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, who plays Agent Luke Hobbs in the film franchise, who confirmed months ago that the first trailer of “Fast & Furious 8” shall likely come out in December.

The trailer shall give fans a glimpse of the latest kind and level of excitement that the latest iteration of the franchise would bring, reports The Movie Blog.

While there are still no plotline details with regards to the film, lead actor Vin Diesel, who plays Dominic ‘Dom’ Toretto, recently expressed that “Fast & Furious 8” may be the first film in the franchise that may warrant an Oscars nomination. He mentioned that it has something to do with the franchise taking on F. Gary Gray to direct the latest installment to the very successful movie series.

“Fast & Furious 8” is set to hit cinemas on April 14, 2017 and shall have an all-star ensemble, who also had a group picture taken following the completion of filming recently.

The photo shows the main cast of characters including Vin Diesel, The Rock, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Michelle Rodriguez, Nathalie Emmanuel, Kurt Russell, and newcomers Charlize Theron and Scott Eastwood.

Not in the photo were other main characters Jason Statham and Helen Mirren.

A treat to Paul Walker fans

There have been recent reports saying that Paul Walker’s Brian O’Conner may once again return in “Fast & Furious 8.”

While Vin Diesel has said after “Fast & Furious 7” that it was to be the last for his good friend Paul Walker as the movie even ended with that touching “One Last Ride” scene, the action star retracted his pronouncement by saying later that a “Fast & Furious” film would not be complete without Paul in it.

It can be recalled that Paul Walker’s incomplete scenes in “Fast & Furious 7” were filmed using CGI technology and the faces of his twin brothers Cody and Caleb as stand-ins, notes the University Herald.

Caleb Walker, who spoke to Vin Diesel over the phone, admitted that the actor mentioned about bringing Paul’s character back to the film.

According to Cody, Universal Pictures wants to pay a tribute to his brother by making sure that he gets the respect he deserves in “Fast & Furious 8.”

Hounded by absurd rumors

Just like other high-profile movies, the upcoming “Fast & Furious 8,” set to hit theaters in April next year, is now being hounded by absurd and often illogical rumors. There are also reports that seem to be accurate but there are actually more false rumors than real stories on the internet about Universal Pictures’ most successful film franchise.

The latest among the more interesting but obviously inaccurate rumors are those that are saying that “Fast & Furious 8” shall be featuring former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey and model Cara Delevingne.

fast-8

It can be recalled that Rousey was part of the “Fast & Furious 7” where she played the role of Kara, the head of security for a Middle Eastern billionaire, whose million-dollar sports car was stolen from the top of the building in Dubai by Dominic Toretto and his gang.

Kara had a brief hand-to-hand combat with Letty Ortiz, played by Michelle Rodriguez, dominated by the UFC women’s bantamweight champion but eventually lost when an explosion occurred. She was not seen since then.

Which is why, it is very ironic, if not impossible, to see Ronda Rousey, reprising her role as Kara in “Fast & Furious 8” because the film will not have a Middle Eastern location at all.
