In a recent posting on his Facebook and Instagram accounts, Vin Diesel reiterated that “Fast & Furious 8” would begin a new trilogy that would culminate the franchise up to “Fast & Furious 10.” The next film would officially hit global theaters on April 14, 2017.
Diesel expressed his gratitude to Universal Pictures for being so good to him and for trusting of his vision, adding that they have been like family.
Diesel promised the studio after “Fast & Furious 7” last year that he would deliver one last trilogy to end the saga.

While Gray has never helmed a “Fast & Furious” film before, he has a few tough thrillers on his resume including the all-famous “Italian Job” film.
