Iceland is just one of the film locations of “Fast & Furious 8,” along with Cuba and the United States.
Based on the pictures released by Universal, Dominic Toretto shall be handling a Dodge Ice Charger; Letty Ortiz, played by Michelle Rodriguez, shall be driving a sporty black and gray Rally Fighter featuring big wheels; Luke Hobbs driving an Ice Ram; Roman Pearce, played by Tyrese Gibson, handling an orange Lamborghini; and Tej, played by Ludacris, driving a Ripsaw.
With such powerful and fast vehicles, critics and fans have speculated that there is going to be an icy car chase sequence in “Fast & Furious 8” on its Iceland set.
Interestingly, the wild rides featured in the photos have been custom-designed to adapt to Iceland’s snowy and slippery road conditions.
It would really be another thrill-a-minute car chase the likes of which has never been seen before in the franchise, and is likely to become one of the key highlights of “Fast & Furious 8.”
The film franchise has transformed itself from a mere street racing and car-and-stunts movie to an extremely high-octane action film involving exotic locations, explosions, and cool rides.
Incidentally, Vin Diesel has just confirmed that there are now plans to do spinoff movies after the final trilogy of “Fast & Furious” ends in 2021.
