‘Fast and Furious 8’ Features Ice Terrains and Fast Cars, How Will the Franchise Cope with The Absence of Paul Walker? Let’s See

If you have taken a look at the teasers of Vin Diesel’s xXx: The Return of Xander Cage and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson’s Baywatch, you can combine both of them, and you’ll get to know about the upcoming Fast and Furious movie.

Fast 8 or Furious 8 is the eighth installment of the complete Fast and Furious franchise, and it is all up in fast cars, hot women, and tough men.

If you want to simplify it further, simply call them fast and furious. The fifteen-second-long teaser comes with a highlight. It features a new landscape where Dominic Toretto and all his men are geared up to put skid marks on. Think about a fast sports car being driven by skilled riders but add to that the icy and smooth terrains of Iceland.

From the looks of it, this installment balances the hot scraps of Fast and Furious franchise with equal proportions of snow-clad hills and a major expanse of ice sheets. The short teaser will make you look forward to the full trailer. It has been scheduled to be unveiled on 12th December.

F Gary Gray is the director of the movie, and he comes as a new addition to the franchise. James Wan, the Malaysian-born filmmaker from Australia, directed the previous movie. Sadly, the franchise continues with an absence of Paul Walker. He passed away three years ago in a car accident.

In fact, one of the major reasons why the previous movie collected such awesome reviews was because of the tribute it paid to Paul Walker through the song, It’s been a long day, sung by Wiz Khalifa. The new movie, also called as The Fate of the Furious, stars Tyrese Gibson, Dwayne Johnson, Vin Diesel and other actors. The action-packed movie will release on 14th April 2007.

If you know that the Fast and Furious films are all about illegal street racing, awesome explosions, and amazing heists, you are a fan of the franchise. If you think it’s about family, well in that case you’re probably Vin Diesel.

In the new teaser for Fast and Furious 8, Vin Diesel appears alongside other actors and strings together a group of platitudes that have nothing to do with driving cars fast. Directly looking at the camera, Vin Diesel says that the open roads can take us anywhere.

Dwayne Johnson suggests that it can be love or adventure, while posing in a poorly lit garage, in front of two heavily armored vehicles. In the end, Tyrese Gibson adds that no matter how their adventures grow, it is always about a very important thing and that’s Family.

Considering everything, this is quite a sentimental way to introduce the eighth film of the franchise, which is known for his extreme adrenaline and high-octane action sequences.

After the death of Paul Walker in 2013, the franchise gained a particular emotional heft that has always been a little awkward for the series to bear. However, this time, the awkwardness seems altogether cringe-worthy.

Before the release of the film’s first trailer, the name has been changed. It is now officially titled, The Fate of the Furious. A newly released 15 seconds teaser, revealed the new name.

The teaser showcased the multiple international locations which are quite new to the franchise this time. It includes a chase scene located in Iceland along with a street race in Cuba. Also, the change in title complies with the altering names of the franchise. The names used are as follows:

  • The Fast and the Furious
  • 2 Fast 2 Furious
  • The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift
  • Fast and Furious
  • Fast Five
  • Fast and Furious 6 (also referred to as Furious 6)
