‘Fast and Furious 8’ Co-Stars Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson Reportedly Clashed on Set, Find Out More

The upcoming film will retain the same cast from the previous film with the addition of Scott Eastwood, Charlize Theron, Kristofer Hivju, and Helen Mirren.

Theron plays the film’s big bad Cipher with Hivju as her henchman. Eastwood portrays a law enforcement agent. Mirren’s role has not yet been disclosed but photos of the 71-year-old actress filming have surfaced recently.

James Wan, who directed “Fast & Furious 7,” was replaced with “Straighta Outta Compton’s” F. Gary Gray. The film is slated to hit theaters on April 14, 2017, with the next two films scheduled for a 2019 and a 2021 release.

Production is now heading into its final days and the cast is celebrating their hard work with a big thank you to the crew and fans.

Through the film’s Facebook page, the cast shared a letter thanking their fans for their support since the franchise was born. They thanked fans who are showing excitement for the upcoming movie and the last two succeeding films.

The lengthy letter states that the cast and crew are doing all their best to bring the best to the audience. They also intend to wow the world again.

The post was accompanied by a photo of the whole cast. The letter also teased fans that the first look for the film will be out in December.
