It’s been a decade since the release of the first game in the Far Cry franchise. Since then, the developers have managed to grab the attention of gamers all over the world with their wonderful iterations launched within the timeline. However, with the latest release of Far Cry 4, Ubisoft has done a lot more than attention-grabbing; they have seriously engulfed the gamers.
The game features a massive open-ended world with breathtaking first-person shooter tactics nestled in the wild, untamed world of Kyrat. Some say it has been based on Nepal, bordered by the Himalayas. Nevertheless, the Himalayas make a formidable presence in Far Cry 4.
Kudos to the developers for making a game that truly cultivates and adapts the harsh weather, unrestrained terrains and the wonderful wilderness of the mountainous regions. The gameplay location in Kyrat features a remarkably open world theme. The huge, open landscape featured with well-designed vegetation will immediately bring the word ‘Himalayas’ to your head. The graphics and visual quality is extremely appealing and consumes you entirely. We just wonder if gamers got to experience this title with Virtual Reality devices like the Oculus Rift.
Make no mistake, the world is huge, and so are its activities! You can travel around Kyrat by foot, by a vehicle, wing-suit or the buzzer. The extreme attention to detail and gameplay is highlighted through the ways in which you can travel in this world. However, not everything is hunky-dory with Far Cry 4.
Recently, Far Cry 4 for the Xbox One vanished from the Xbox Marketplace for a certain time earlier this week. It prevented a lot of gamers from playing a title they own. Although the issue was finally fixed, the entire incident left the gamers baffled. We are still not aware as to what happened.
A brief statement released by Microsoft isn’t much of help either. A Microsoft representative declared, “If customers own the rights to a game, they can visit their download history and initiate a re-download whenever they please, even if the game has been delisted from Xbox Store and is no longer available for purchase”.
Although the above statement is true, it doesn’t provide an insight into what happened. When further asked by a Kotaku reporter, Microsoft responded saying that some users were unable to access the digitally purchased version of Far Cry 4.
The developers have fixed the issues now, and the title has been rightfully restored. For further inquiries, people can contact Ubisoft PR. Glitches take place now and again, but what’s bothering gamers is the lack of communication from Microsoft. Moreover, this isn’t a new issue at all, it previously occurred with other titles as well.
Stay tuned for more updates on Far Cry 4!
