All of this, combined with serious improvements in the graphics department and a more advanced engine that should easily handle vast, detailed world, sounds like the perfect formula for a complete hit. There is a reason why Bethesda have such a strong reputation, and they know how to live up to that with all of their releases.
The only thing that had been a bit worrying to fans is the future of nodding. Bethesda tried some rather questionable things with “Skyrim” and they quickly backtracked on that decision after the huge backlash, hopefully they aren’t going to repeat that mistake again.
That would be even worse if the game comes in a poorly polished technical state, something which is actually not rare foe the company. They usually rely on modders to fix the most glaring issues before their games are truly playable and enjoyable, and if people have to pay for mods, the situation could easily get messy. Bethesda are very well in touch with their fans and they know what would potentially annoy people though – even though they didn’t predict the previous situation very well, admittedly – so this should not be a problem if all works out well.
