Fallout 4 Rumors: Is Bethesda working on an end-2014 Release Date?

Fallout 4 has tested the fans’ patience for long. It’s been six long years since the launch of Fallout 3 and loyalists are frustrated about Bethesda’s ignorance towards the situation. To make matters worse, the company is yet to make a formal public announcement addressing the situation.

Some fans have taken things into their hands and have gone out of the way to demand an explanation from Bethesda Softworks. An undisclosed individual started a petition urging Bethesda to make a formal announcement regarding Fallout 4.

Bethesda is still trying to keep things under wraps by ignoring the situation. Gameranx has however revealed that a few teasers have been supposedly released by Bethesda. According to this report, the company is responsible for spreading quite a few of these rumors.

When one of the fans asked an employee to provide him with a beta download code, the employee swiftly refused, but advised him to stay tuned for more. According to an employee, Bethesda Softworks will come up with some ‘highly interesting’ announcements soon.

Fallout 4 witnesses the return of a central character Three Dogs, voiced by Erik Todd Dellums, and if speculations are to be believed, Bethesda approved Dellums’ wishes of announcing his presence in the upcoming title. This proves that the company is not playing hide and seek anymore and wants to make a formal announcement soon.

Initial speculations also suggest that 23rd October might witness some very interesting revelations as the date is marked in-game too, as the date of The Great War. Another report suggests that the game is likely to release on the same date.

Desperate fans have even tried to bribe employees of Bethesda Softworks into divulging whether the upcoming installment is based on Boston. However, the endeavor has not been successful so far.

We however believe that this is far-fetched at the moment, as speculations would give way to teasers and promotional campaigns in such a situation. Bethesda knows how to keep gamers on tenterhooks, although, staying silent surely does not look like a viable strategy at the moment, considering the immense popularity enjoyed by the Fallout franchise.
