He also disclosed that they previously attempted to come out with “Fallout 4” mods for the Xbox One with the same feature and extent as the PS4 mods but it was not approved. As to whether things will change in the future or remain the same, Hines said that it was not up to him to decide.
While Bethesda has not yet announced a release date for the “Fallout 4” PS4 mods, what seems certain based on recent reports is that it would come out after the game developer releases the “Skyrim Special Edition” mods.
The game developer confirmed earlier this year that after its work is complete on “Skyrim Special Edition,” they shall be updating “Fallout 4’ for both mods and the PS4 Pro.
Gamers could expect that to be as much as 1GB of content because that was the same size of mods that recently came to the remastered version of Bethesda’s equally popular role-playing game “The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim.”
Hines also explained that “Fallout 4” PS4 mods will not come with external assets so players will have to settle with the ones that the game has, at least for the time being.
He said that the arrival of external assets is not dependent on Bethesda Studios but to Sony.
Bethesda’s website is now being populated with PS4 mods for “Skyrim” while the studio has been busy putting together a guide on how to get the most out of creating free content.
