Taking cue from its mother game series, “Fallout 4” will take place approximately 200 years post-war that ended in a nuclear holocaust in 2077, more or less coinciding with the events of “Fallout 3.” During last month’s E3, Bethesda released a five-minute video of the gameplay exploration of “Fallout 4” giving fans a massive treat during the expo.
Bethesda Softworks head developer Todd Howard explains that there was a need to do a prologue for the game to allow the players, be it male or female, to dive wholly into the “Fallout” experience.
Forbes details that the video reveals that the story begins exactly on October 23, 2077 when the bombs started dropping at Boston and the player takes refuge in Vault 111 with surviving family members. Subsequently, the player finds out that 200 years later, after a long slumber, he will emerge as the vault’s sole survivor and surprisingly not aging a day.
More news on “Fallout 4” will definitely come out soon as its release date nears and fans are in for a treat when a new gameplay trailer is officially announced during Gamescom 2015. The game will be available on Xbox One, the PlayStation 4, and the PC in November.
