As for “Fallout 4” itself, the biggest wish some fans seem to have for the game right now if Bethesda wants to explore it with additional content, is for some more details on the whole synth subplot.
Synths were a controversial addition to the “Fallout” lore, although fans eventually ended up liking them once their story was expanded a bit. But still, some fans seem to believe that Bethesda could do even more with them, and that the studio is wasting their potential as a plot element.
Perhaps we’re going to see some additional content related to synths in the future – and if it doesn’t come from the official side, at least fans have a good opportunity to implement something themselves now that the modding tools have been released.
We’ve actually seen some interesting discussions regarding what some modders are planning to do now that they have their hands on the new tools, and we expect that there will be a lot of hype around “Fallout 4” in the coming weeks.
Even though the release of the toolkit was a bit late, this could actually work out in Bethesda’s favor. All the extra attention it’s managed to bring to the game can only be a good thing for the studio, especially if they have plans to release additional content. For now though, they can probably just sit back and relax, as fans will take over in the content production department for a while.
