Bethesda Softworks has finally released the first official trailer of its post-apocalyptic role-playing game “Fallout 4” on June 3 which had the fans and gamers of the franchise thrilled to almost no end.
Reports last week indicate that the trailer for the game will be released by Bethesda during its scheduled pre-Entertainment Electronic Expo (E3) 2015 event to be held on June 14 at the Dolby Theater of the Los Angeles Convention Center, where E3 2015 will be held on June 16 to 18. The developer obviously pulled off a major surprise as it rolled out the first trailer of “Fallout 4” less than two weeks before the E3 2015.
The first official trailer, which runs for three minutes and four seconds, actually confirmed that the location of “Fallout 4” is in Boston, consistent with the rumors that came out as early as last year.
The trailer features a German shepherd entering a house as a voice on radio reports that the world is on the brink of war. As the dog walks through the different parts of the house, the trailer cuts between pre and post-apocalypse depictions of the world, notes Gamespot.
Confirming that “Fallout 4” is set in Boston are places in the trailer including the ‘Scollay Square,’ which can be found in the real city, the Massachusetts State House, and the Bunker Hill Monument. The video clip also showed the USS Constitution, docked in the city port. Boston Red Sox fans may also notice in the trailer a post-apocalyptic version of Fenway Park.
Ron Perlman is also back
The trailer also confirmed the return of voice actor Ron Perlman as his voice as the narrator once again trailed off saying war never changes, which is already an iconic line in the video game franchise.
The featured character in the trailer also has a line and he is likely to be the player character. He also owns the German shepherd that was seen in most parts of the trailer.
The trailer also gave a glimpse of the Vault 111 where players will start their journey into the wasteland. The suit that he would be wearing into the wasteland is also seen in the trailer being sniffed at by the dog.
Expected but surprised
The “Fallout 4” trailer was already expected by its fans and gamers but the surprise part came when it was released ahead of schedule.
A noted videogamer insider known as Tamaki has also made pronouncement that a “Fallout 4” announcement at E3 2015 is 100% sure in a recent report by Gotta Be Mobile.
Also on his latest tweet on May 31, actor Ron Perlman, who is one of “Fallout’s” well-known voice actors, said that he wishes he could give gamers news on “Fallout 4” but he can’t and won’t. But he added in his tweet that he had a huge smirk on his face, which means that he really knows that something is up but is somehow prevented only by a possible non-disclosure agreement.
