“Fallout 4” already has lots of areas that can be explored for hours, but for some players the quality of the content falls short in favor of its quantity, as Bethesda have apparently focused on making area after area full of junk to collect, but didn’t put that much thought into giving those areas any unique identity.
There are exceptions like the Cabot house, but there aren’t that many of those around, and for the most part players of the game have to get used to the idea that Bethesda wanted to follow a certain narrative with the exploration of its world and more or less compelled players to go along with that.
Could we see an explanation behind some of the more interesting characters that we already saw? People, ghouls, mutants and synths – there are lots of exciting personalities in “Fallout 4”, such as Swan and many other unique bosses, and it would be interesting to see the game digging into their backgrounds more deeply.
We’ll find out sooner or later when Bethesda announce their plans for the game’s first DLC, but until then we’ll have to go with the rumors that are going around. And while there are plenty of those for everyone, players should of course keep in mind that they should take everything with a grain of salt.
