The role-playing game “Fallout 4” has a Survival Mode where gamers can get APs and rewards that gamers can use in the regular game but developer Bethesda Studios appears intent on giving it a complete overhaul soon.
Bethesda has yet to make a formal announcement regarding the details of the completely overhauled Survival Mode of “Fallout 4” but based on an information discovered by a resourceful gamer, it could be the game’s ultimate difficulty level, notes Forbes.
The treasure trove of information that the gamer came across with appears too good to be true until Bethesda Studios confirmed it recently, but cautioned gamers nonetheless that the company is still tinkering with the mode.
However, based on the list of items that the overhauled Survival Mode shall contain, it seems that Bethesda has already made up its mind on what are the major things that it is considering of implementing in the ongoing overhaul of the Survival Mode.d
While fans and gamers are already getting excited about the new Survival Mode for “Fallout 4,” the major tweaks will actually make gaming difficult for most of them. In fact, some critics are describing the mode as quite terrifying.
Making gaming even more difficult
The new Survival Mode of “Fallout 4” can no longer be manually saved and quicksave shall no longer be possible as well. If gamers want to save their session, they have to bring the game to bed with them.
While gamers will be able to take and deal more damage to enemies, the enemies no longer appear on their compass. Companions will also not auto-revive.
The overhauled Survival Mode shall completely disable the Fast Travel feature. So if the gamer wants to get to somewhere, he or she has to walk.
Also, the gamer can actually contract a disease that must be cured right away because it will have an effect on his or her special stats. In addition, a gamer can be fatigued from lack of food, water, or sleep, which shall also affect his or her AP.
Finally, ammo will have a weight to it. Bullets will obviously weight minimal but bigger items like missiles and mini-nukes, just like in real life, will be quite heavy. And when the gamer is overburdened, it can take a toll on his or her stats and health.
‘Fallout 4’ Season Pass
Starting March 1, Bethesda would be increasing the price of “Fallout 4” Season Pass from the current $29.99 to $49.99 or a $20 increase.
However, despite the price increase there are still “Fallout 4” Season Pass deals that bargain hunters can grab onto for both the PC and the gaming consoles.
Digital retailer GMG is offering a 20% discount coupon code that gamers can apply to the Season Pass, and ultimately get the price down to $24. However, the deal is only good until February 29.
As for the gaming consoles deals, Amazon is offering the “Fallout 4” Season Pass at the same price but it could either come with either a download code for PlayStation 4 or the Xbox One, which actually comes with a price if it is purchased from PSN or Xbox Live. The deal is also good until February 29, details Gamerant.
Bethesda explained that the increase in the Season Pass for “Fallout 4” is because of the additional content to the game.
While some gamers are still skeptical about the so-called new content, Bethesda is set to launch the first DLC for “Fallout 4” titled “Automation.” The Season Pass shall contain at least three DLCs so after “Animation,” two more expansion packs will come to the game.
Meanwhile, the latest update to “Fallout 4,” officially known as Patch 1.3, has just rolled out to the PC ahead of its version in Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 early this month.
