Fallout 4 Coming Soon, Primary Focus of Bethesda at the Moment – Other Major Franchises on Hold!

After many rumors about “Fallout 4” and alleged leaks about the game, Bethesda have finally decided to admit that it’s in production and is coming soon – this November, to be more precise. At the same time, the studio’s other major franchises have been put on hold as they are focused on polishing up “Fallout 4” for its major release. This is disappointing to those who were hoping to get news about a new “Elder Scrolls” game in the works, but it’s better to see Bethesda focusing on one thing at a time in the end.

Plus, this should allow the other franchise to benefit even more in the long run – both series have always shared some similarities in their gameplay, and new experimental gameplay features introduced in “Fallout 4” could very easily reflect on “The Elder Scrolls” as a franchise and we might see some of those changes in the sequel to “Skyrim”, whenever that might be coming.

Both franchises are extremely popular and Bethesda obviously have plans to keep developing them in the future for quite a while, but we don’t know when the next “TES” game might arrive, nor what its gameplay might be like in comparison to “Skyrim”. There have been some rumors about the location and possible characters of the game, but nothing concrete so far.

And considering the most recent announcements that claimed that the game is on hold while Bethesda are working on “Fallout 4”, we don’t really know how true those rumors could have been. For what it’s worth, there were claims that the game would be set in Argonia and that might have been its working title as well, but other than that the situation is pretty blurry and it’s not very easy to confirm anything that we’ve seen so far.

On the other hand, the company is still releasing new content for “The Elder Scrolls Online”, even though that game might not be around for much longer, as there have been reports that Bethesda are apparently disappointed with how it turned out in terms of popularity. On the other hand, their fans have been disappointed with the way the whole game plays and feels, so there might be some balance to the whole situation on both sides.

But back to “Fallout 4” – this game is obviously going to propel the franchise even further in the future, and it’s going to set some new trends for “Fallout” fans. Whether or not all of those things will work out correctly remains to be seen, but it’s safe to assume that at least some of the changes will become a staple in the game and will be a major part of all next releases that come out.

The new style of developing living quarters is definitely going to enjoy a lot of popularity, as the community is already talking about it quite actively. People seem to love the idea of mixing up the game with “Minecraft” a little bit.

There will also be new options for crafting weapons and gear, and some of those are going to be very interesting additions to the overall gameplay. It would be interesting to see this carried over to the “TES” franchise in some way, although we’re not sure how Bethesda could combine the medieval fantasy world of one franchise with the post-apocalyptic futuristic setting of the other. Then again, this is Bethesda.
