Some players have reported that they felt especially annoyed by the lack of ability to save their game on demand, forcing them to take long detours before they’re able to get off the computer after hours of play.
It will take a while before everyone is truly happy with the way Survival works, but that’s why the feature is currently in a beta, and at least Bethesda are clearly following the feedback of their fans and are trying to please as many people as possible with each patch.
Players themselves have been active in discussion forums and they are always eager to share their impressions from the current state of the new Survival mode, feedback which is undoubtedly valuable for the developers.
We’re not sure how many more patches will be required before Survival truly works well for everyone, but we expect that Bethesda will need to tip the scales of balance back and forth a few more times until things become more stable. But even in its current state, the feature is definitely worth a try for those who’ve been feeling bored with the way the game plays in its later stages. It can take some time to get used to, but after that, many players report that they simply can’t imagine playing “Fallout 4” in the default way ever again.
