Berry was present at the annual sports event last July 15 held at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles where she presented the Pat Tillman Award for Service to Danielle Green, a former basketball player turned soldier. Green serves an inspiration to many as she lost her left arm in a grenade attack in Iraq back in 2004 but used her experience to counsel other military people to adjust to the civilian life once again.
The former Bond girl just recently came face to face in court with her ex-boyfriend, Canadian model Gabriel Aubry, over the issue of child support system. According to Mirror UK, the former couple decided to sit on opposite sides of the courtroom. The two share joint custody over their seven-year-old daughter, Nahla.
When the pair split up in 2010, Halle has been vocal that she was happy to pay Gabriel to look after their daughter, but now believes that the 38-year-old is using the money to escape job and is basically living off child support. Last year, the court ordered the award-winning actress to pay her ex an amount of $200,000 a year not to mention tuition money for their daughter, to which the latter petitioned a reduction in the amount.
Aubry is appealing the request and claims that he has been struggling to find modelling jobs since his face unfortunately along with his career was damaged when Halle’s current husband, Olivier Martinez, beat him up in 2012. During ComicCon, the actress kept mum when media pressed her to give more statements on the issue.
