Extant Season 2 Features Molly Woods Experiencing Distressing Vision, And More

The 10th episode of Season 2 of the American science-fiction drama TV series “Extant” on CBS featured Molly Woods experiencing a distressing vision following her near-death experience in the previous episode.

Apparently, the vision bothered her almost to no end but she seems unable to shake it off. But what viewers may find interesting about Molly’s vision is the fact that it may actually be related to the virus that was unleashed when team members of the Global Space Commission (GSC) made an assault on the lair of the hybrids, details Hollywood Hills.

Episode 10 titled “Don’t Shoot the Messenger” may also mean that Molly’s vision may be the key for her to unravel the mystery of what really happened to her during her solo space mission during Season 1 and also how her husband robotics engineer John Woods was killed and why.

This was further aided by the fact that Goran Visnjik, who plays John Woods, has another guesting stint on Episode 10, indicating that Molly may indeed be close to finding out the truth as “Extant” heads to its penultimate episode on September 2 and its Season finale on September 9.

Testing his loyalty

The latest episode of “Extant” also tested the loyalty of Tobias ‘Toby’ Shepherd, played by David Morrisey, whether he is for the Global Space Commission where he is part of or that for the cause of Molly.

GSC will question Toby’s alliance to the cause despite the fact that he led the successful raid on the hybrids during episode 9. The raid also netted Adhu, played by Henderson Wade, the hybrid son of Molly, notes Christian Today.

Apparently the higher-ups in the GSC doubted his loyalty after he unintentionally released the virus during the attack. Molly was the first to succumb to the virus, which eventually activated her long forgotten memories.

Toby was thus compelled to contain the outbreak even as Molly used the confusion to investigate further, after remembering what happened to her during her solo space mission as an astronaut for the International Space Exploration Agency.

Building towards the finale

Since the last couple of episodes, “Extant” has been building its climactic overtones on course to a major windup to the Season finale on September 9.

During the episode 9 of the TV series, Molly was with Adhu when he met his demise and she was clearly distraught about the situation, despite the fact that she also helped engineer it along with the GSC.

The last two episodes of “Extant” really showed plenty of things and subplots going on all over the show.

At the end of the onslaught against the hybrids, there was a hint that one Hybrid Haven survivor will emerge and will look for payback.

Meanwhile, the Humanich is just waiting on the wings when the smoke clears in the event that the humans wipe out the seditious androids that are the hybrids. While the Humanich is only composed of Lucy at the moment, but in the previous episodes, it can be recalled that Anna instructed Julie to produce more Humanich, whose hatred for humans is starting to spiral out of control.

Lucy, just like Ethan, the son of Molly by John Woods, is a prototype android called Humanich, who is slowly becoming a risk to those around her.

extant season 2

“Extant” has indeed taken some climactic overtones which indicate that it is building onto something big and that the end or the season finale is just around the corner.

When episodes start wrapping up their storylines, that usually indicates that something big is about to happen, but the people from the TV series and the network simply do not want to spoil it for the fans and viewers.
