‘Empire’ Season 3 Episode 5 Retaliation of Shine on Lucious and Andre Appears Inevitable Over Deal with Nessa

The fifth episode of Season 3 of the American musical drama TV series “Empire” on Fox will air on November 2, after a three-week hiatus, which was due to the World Series of Major League Baseball (MLB).

The fourth episode of “Empire” was shown on October 12 where Andre, played by Trai Byers, and Lucious, played by Terrence Howard, expressed their interest to sign up to Empire records Nessa, played by Sierra McClaine, details Mobile & Apps.

But Shine, played by Xzibit, had a different thing on his mind as he called the other musical label managers for a bidding war on the services of Nessa.

When Lucious and Andre arrived at Shine’s recording studio, he had other music label bosses there for a bidding. Lucious was obviously not happy, so Hakeem, played by Bryshere Y. Gray, offered to try and sign up Nessa by throwing her and Shine a huge party.

Lucious does not like the idea of Shine one bit so he struck him on the head with a bat and threatened him with a gun also because of his violent assault on Andre. In so doing, Empire records managed to snag Nessa, details the International Business Times.

Out for revenge

It seems that the retaliation of Shine is inevitable in the upcoming fifth episode, entitled “One Before Another” and the synopsis also indicates such. It would be interesting how it would turn out when Shine is once again on the offensive.

Based on the trailer for episode 5 of “Empire” Season 3, it showed Shine getting ready for his big revenge against the Lyons. He was also seen going to Andre’s apartment with his gun drawn out.

The episode shall also feature a threesome bed scene with Andre and Nessa but in Andre’s mind, he is also making love with his dead wife Rhonda, played by Kaitlin Doubleday, who died during the premiere episode of Season 3 as she fell off the building.

The synopsis also revealed that Jamal would team up with Hakeem for a performance that he thinks could help him face his fears.

On the part of Cookie Lyon, played by Taraji P. Henson, she will be caught off guard during a routine meeting with her probation officer as she would not be expecting it at all.

A new ‘Empire’ song

Reports also have it that a new song, titled “Starlight” will be featured in the upcoming fifth episode of “Empire.”

The song shall take that sweet, intoxicating, and overwhelming feeling of a young love in a song, said Seraiah, who sang the song, in a recent interview.

She said that “Starlight” will take viewers back to that place when they had their first love or crush, or when it was just pure infatuation.

Incidentally, the synopsis for the sixth episode of “Empire” Season 3 is now out and accordingly, it would have a big revelation of information as it would feature the conflict between the music artists and the Lyon family.

Andre shall reportedly attempt to turn the situation around to his advantage while Lucious would be clashing with Cookie and Angelo. Amal, on the other hand, will figure in a love triangle.

Meanwhile, Taraji P. Henson, who plays Cookie, was the front and center of the fourth episode of Season 3 of “Empire.”

It was a gorgeous showcase of an episode, entitled “Cupid Kills,” for the actress as her character Cookie got invited by handsome city councilman Angelo Dubois on an opera gala date.

Interestingly, she was able to handle some deeply personal business in the ladies’ room from a pair of women who made the mistake of referring to her as a hood rat, not for anything but for the skin tight red mini-dress that she wore that night.
