The rumors about Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield keep piling up, and it’s not entirely clear what the current status of their relationship is. The two are rather vague in their communication with the public on the subject, and there are various rumors going around that sometimes contradict each other. For example, it was initially claimed that the two are on the verge of breaking up, but then we got another rumor that stated that they were getting back together and their relationship is in a stable situation.
Indeed, they were spotted together in public recently, shortly after their alleged break-up. And according to that report, they seemed quite happy together too – so it would be quite strange to consider that they were no longer together. Since then, fans of the couple have been talking about them as if they are back together and haven’t even broken up, but the reality may be a bit different.
According to the most recent set of rumors, the couple’s reconciliation was actually false and was more of an attempt by Stone herself to draw the public attention away from the possibility of them breaking up. She apparently wanted to make it seem like everything was alright so that people would stop bothering her – and Garfield – with questions.
However, now that this has been revealed to the public as well, we would expect Stone to find herself in the same situation as before. We don’t know what reason the couple might have for wanting to hide their break-up, but they may simply want to avoid the public spotlight. It’s completely understandable when it comes to a person’s private life, and some celebrities are particularly careful to not let the public in on their secrets too often.
Currently, sources that are allegedly close to the couple are claiming that they even know the reason for their troubles – Garfield was apparently caught cheating during the production of a Scorsese film in Thailand. We don’t have any more information on that, however, so we don’t know if that’s just another rumor or the real reason for the split of the couple.
It’s entirely possible though, especially with regards to how they don’t want to discuss their relationship status publicly. If the reason for the break-up really was rooted in a cheating incident, it’s completely understandable why they would want to avoid talking about that, and would be more inclined to sweep it under the rug instead. It would be sad to see them splitting up, but in the end that’s life.
