The last time that Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield were spotted together was last month in London, the day after the birthday of “The Amazing Spider-Man” actor. They were seen casually walking down a street in London, minus the PDAs, cites Popsugar.
The sighting spawned a few speculations. The first one alludes that the two are back together as a couple but would not want to share so much about their relationship in public so they just kept their hands to themselves.
The second set of rumors suggests that the two have gotten to be real close friends that they can be at ease with each other even though they are no longer in a romantic relationship.
But it would be hard to figure out why Emma Stone, who is based in Los Angeles, would travel all the way to London, just to be with a supposed good friend and a former flame at that.
Thus, most of the speculations are saying that the two have not broken up at all contrary to reports that they split in October last year. In fact, early in June, they were also spotted having a luxurious yacht vacation in Turkey and Greece.
Rumored with each other’s co-star
As of late, Andrew Garfield is being rumored with his “Under the Silver Lake” co-star Dakota Johnson, who is best known for portraying the role of Anastasia Steele in “Fifty Shades of Grey.”
The reports are saying that the two have been in constant communication with each other while they are not filming and they are doing it through phone calls, SMS, and even video chats, details Game & Guide.
Emma Stone is also being rumored to be singing good music together with her “La La Land” co-star Ryan Gosling. Their movie is set to hit cinemas before the end of this year so the hype in the movie’s promotion is kind of expected.
In fact, “La La Land” Director Glenn Ficarra has joined the rumor fray by saying that he feels that Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling really love each other in real life.
While Emma is supposedly unspoken for at the moment, Ryan Gosling is not as he has been living together with Eva Mendes and they also share a baby daughter named Esmeralda.
Part of the plan
Some critics believe that getting rumored with their respective co-stars appears to be part of the plan of Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield to keep their relationship away from the limelight and free from the media scrutiny.
That is the reason why neither one of them has spoken about the true state of their relationship even after their sightings in the Mediterranean in June and then again in London last month.
Before dating Andrew Garfield in 2011, Emma Stone reportedly dated two other actors and they are Teddy Geiger, whom she dated from 2007 to 2009.
The relationship began when they starred together in the movie “The Rocker” and Teddy managed to sweep her off her feet with his songwriting and singing skills.
Subsequently, Emma dated Kieran Culkin from 2010 to 2011. Kieran, as everyone knows, is the younger brother of Macaulay Culkin. Their relationship also started when they did a movie together entitled “Paper Man.” They dated for one-year straight.
Shortly after breaking up with Kieran Culkin, she hooked up with “The Amazing Spider-Man” co-star Andrew Garfield and the rest is history. They have since been in an on-again, off-again relationship.
While reports are saying that they have already broken up since October last year, recent sightings of the couple seem to indicate that they are still very much together and are merely protecting their relationship from the public and the paparazzi.
