Emma Slater is quite popular with fans of “Dancing With the Stars”, and she’s without doubt one of the favorite personalities on the show for many of its viewers. She has a very lively and friendly personality, and always manages to bring a positive light in everything depicted on the screen. She’s only been on the show for around two years – as a pro, at least – and she was eliminated in the first week of season 20, but she is still very passionate about the business and the show as a whole.
She recently talked a little about her life on the road as well as her experience with the production, and about her huge excitement over getting to meet Chris Soules. She was asked about her relationship with Val Chmerkovskiy, who previously said that she was going to be “his go-to girl on the tour”. In the interview, she was asked how often she got to hang out with him, and she revealed that they have been quite close together, spending a lot of time with each other.
She described herself as his “wingwoman”, and said that the two of them had been spending some time shopping in Vegas, taking plane rides around, and he has been true to his word. She was ready for “round two” now, as she described it, and she ways that’s coming up.
Further on, Glamour asked her what exactly she had to do for him, to which she responded that there have been some dates on the tour where they were staying over, and she would love to see a cook-off because she believes he’s great at cooking. Every time they have been eating together, it’s always been eating out according to her, and she is curious to try some native Ukrainian dishes instead of food prepared at restaurants.
Joking with the interviewers, she also added that she would like to push their friendship on a little more, as she feels like she needs him to be her wingman now that she has helped him out as his wingwoman. Emma Slater also talked about Melissa Rycroft, who won the all-stars season before she was on it, and some were curious to know if there was any change in the dynamics on the tour as a result of that.
According to her, she feels like she knows Melissa quite well already, and she was a troupe member at the all-star season so she got to spend some time together with her, describing her as very friendly and personable.
