Elite: Dangerous is sending ripples around the globe, not just among teenagers but adults too. The first game with the same title released back in the 80s and the upcoming installment will be available on the Windows PC.
Elite: Dangerous features three novel based games from Frontier Developments and the company has taken great pain to ensure continuity between the storylines. The three parts are titled Wanted, Nemorensis and Docking is Difficult. The trailer is currently available and those of you who have no idea what we are talking about, should go take a look.
Elite: Wanted
Written by Gavin Deas, Wanted is a very popular space story narrated from dual POV – the hunter and the hunted. When the crew of the Song of Stone messes up a routine piracy expedition, they realize that they are being tailed by bounty hunters, one of whom might be able to outclass them.
The Dragon Queen is one of the most feared in outer space, and there is a good reason behind it too. However, the bounty hunters are unable to fathom the actual mission they are sent on, or the vessel that they have been hired to retrieve. This makes for an interesting tale.
Elite: Nemorensis
Written by Simon Spurrier, Nemorensis depicts the story of two lovers who steal a spaceship and are on the run. They enjoy the fame and glory that their random escapades and attacks bring them.
They know that this spell is short-lived as they are bound to get caught and killed eventually. However, a mysterious person is following the couple. Someone who is well versed in their activities and routine and most importantly where they are headed. The person knows more about the couple than they do about each other, but what does the ‘somebody’ want?
Elite: Docking is Difficult
Penned by Gideon Defoe, Docking is Difficult explores life in the future. It is based on the expectations and experiences of a young boy’s adventures. It discovers what might be the worst planet to live in the future and futuristic technology like laser and achieve the ultimate goal – become Elite!
However, Misha needs to complete his chores first and learn how to talk to Phoebe, a beautiful customs officer. The story includes smuggling and art-theft, etc. at an inter-galactic level. This is Misha’s only chance to prove what he’s made of.
The books are currently available at the store, although, players are waiting intently for the game to release on the PC. We have no word on whether the maker’s plan on releasing the game on other consoles, although, that will be a revelation.
