Elio Motors Unveils E1c At Los Angeles Auto Show, Still A Long-Way To Go For Production TO Start, Received 61,000 Reservations On First Car

Engineers claim that the unibody frame is a superb idea and would help the car have a better finish while maintaining that it has high manufacturability. The modified suspension in the E1c will make sure that the car has enhanced aerodynamics and enjoyed better durability. The structure will also reduce the vibration, noise, and the jerks.

E1c also became the first vehicle from Elio Motors that is equipped with airbags. Elio Motors included this primary feature in their Safety Management System, where they provide two airbags in the roof-rail side-curtain and one in the steering wheel.

Elio Motors is working with Hyundai Dymos as their seating manufacturing partner. The Hyundai Dymos firm will also set up a production unit at Shreveport, which would again create jobs in the town.

The location of the company, will not only provide cheap seating inventory to E1c but also help Elio Motors maintain their low-price tag. CEO Paul Elio thanked Hyundai Dymos for their dedication in Elio Motors’ dream and passion and their commitment to the long-term success of the start-up auto company.

The tie-up with Hyundai Dymos is a step towards Elio Motors bringing in their core suppliers in the manufacturing facility in Shreveport, thereby reducing the price.
