Most notably, the issue that the law explicitly requires motorcycle riders to wear a helmet, something which would make little sense in the context of Elio’s vehicle. Thankfully the company has made some progress in their talks and they will likely get their desired results in the end, and even though it was a tough road for them, if the final result is successful it will be more than worth it.
We will most likely not see the car out on the market this year though, but we expect to at least hear some more news about it occasionally as Elio keep making progress in their developments.
As we said above, we currently expect the company to talk about the results of their prototype testing when they are done with that phase, and this should be an interesting announcement for their fans, especially those who’ve invested in the company.
If they succeed, it will be a great story for the market in multiple ways. From delivering a product that changes people’s perception towards the idea of driving efficiently and on a tight budget, to showing that startup companies can succeed on a large scale with appropriate funding, there is a lot tied to the success of Elio Motors and many are currently very hopeful that the company will end up getting their desired results.
