Bethesda have been working on a lot recently, and the studio is preparing to please their fans from all their bases in interesting ways. It’s worth noting that they have also been maintaining a high level of communication with their community, so it’s obvious that they are determined to make everyone happy in the end. However, fans of some of their franchises might have to wait longer before they see their favorite games continued, and those who were hopeful to get a new “Elder Scrolls” game this year will be left disappointed in the end.
It was to be expected that this would happen though, as Bethesda would obviously have a lot of trouble getting both “Fallout 4” and “The Elder Scrolls 6” at the same time. The studio is already working very hard on the next “Fallout” game, and they have been putting the finishing touches on it now and preparing to release it, so obviously they wouldn’t be able to focus on another title of this magnitude at the same time as well.
Plus, Bethesda are somewhat known for releasing their games in a half-finished state and relying on their community to develop minor fixes at a later point, but fans generally don’t mind this situation. If anything, it has opened up the doors to a lot of creativity as the community has been given great modding tools and the ability to work on their favorite games and make them exactly how they want them to be.
“Fallout 4” will no doubt also include various tools that will help the community develop the game further and make the most from it, and we are curious to see what some players will come up with once they get their hands on the mod kit. There are already discussions about what different players want to do with the game once it’s been released, and the different additions to its gameplay that we’ve seen over the various trailers have been inspiring to some.
It’s clear that this title is going to push the franchise forward significantly and introduce various things that players have wanted to see for a long time, but it’s very important that Bethesda maintain a lot of focus on it in the first few months after its release. It’s pretty much guaranteed that the game will have some technical issues and the studio is going to have to pay a lot of attention to what their fans are saying if they want to fix the problems as quickly as possible.
The community will also likely have some ideas for improving the game balance-wise, and this will be reflected in some of the mods that will come out in the beginning. And for Bethesda, it will be very important to keep an eye on those discussions and make sure that they know what people think about the game in its current state. Even though it’s a single-player game, it can still suffer from balance problems.
And because it’s an RPG, it’s very important that Bethesda get its gameplay right if they want players to actually have fun with the game and experience it properly from start to finish. This is something that can affect their perception of it quite a lot and Bethesda should not only do a lot of testing in the beginning, but they should also keep an eye on what people are saying and patch some of the more glaring issues as quickly as possible.
