There are rumors of more DLC coming to “Fallout 4” after the initial three packs have been released, and the studio also has the upcoming new “Doom” in their portfolio, another major release that has been talked about a lot, and which can affect their reputation significantly.
“Dishonored 2” might also be announced soon, as the game has been under speculation for some time now and we’ve seen some minor hints that it might be in production. If that does happen though, it would mean another long wait without major announcements related to “The Elder Scrolls”.
The company’s fans are surprisingly patient with the current situation, all things considered. Most gamers would prefer to get the next game as soon as possible and would rather see it rushed out the door despite the implications for its quality, but “The Elder Scrolls” has a special place in the hearts of many players.
The series suffered a bit around the release of “The Elder Scrolls Online”, as many saw it as a somewhat failed experiment, but Bethesda at least tried to see if that idea has any actual merit. The fact that it didn’t work out that well doesn’t have to be a bad thing, as long as they’ve learned some lessons from the whole ordeal and better understand what their fans want from a game like this.
