Duck Dynasty is one of the most popular television shows on A&E right now and is just about to start its eighth season. The show started back in 2012 and by the end of 2013, the brand generated more than $400 million in revenue and more than $80 million in advertising revenue for A&E.
The show centers on a family that became very wealthy after they started a company called Duck Commander. The company makes products for duck hunters with most of the sales coming from a popular duck call named the Duck Commander. The guys on the show are known for their long beards and Christian views.
The show brought in almost 12 million viewers for the premiere during the fourth season and that was the largest audience for a non-fiction television show in cable history. The show has been reaping the benefits of being popular, while at the same time has gotten itself into hot water as well.
