‘Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2’ Gamers in for a Huge Christmas Treat as Game’s First DLC Set to Drop on December 20

A little over a month after the release of the fighting video game “Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2” on the PlayStation 4, the Xbox One, and the PC, Japanese game developer Bandai Namco shall reportedly give gamers a huge Christmas treat.

Reports have it that the first ever DLC for the game shall be arriving on December 20 and will bring a couple of exclusive items, one of which shall require players to own a Season Pass, notes the iTech Post.

But the good thing is that gamers shall have the option to purchase the items individually and not as a bundle.

The “Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2” DLC shall also feature a new set of challenges, giving players something to put their attention and focus into. It shall also equip Son Goku with new skills and attacks, though details have yet to be fully disclosed as of this time.

The DLC shall also provide the characters of the fighting game new costumes. Players will be given a total of five Super Souls, too.

New Parallel Quests are also expected to be included. It’s worth noting that the DLC will offer five new attacks.

The DLC shall also introduce two new characters to the game, namely, Cabbe and Frost. The two characters are said to be playable as soon as the Yuletide season starts. The characters’ final forms are also included.

Frost, in particular, will wear its most powerful state yet; Cabbe, on the other hand, will feature its Super Saiyan ability. Both are going to be available.

New event and new quest

The DLC shall also usher a new event called “Frieza’s Siege!” Players need to be ready to defend Conton City against the attacking Frieza’s army where they will get a chance to earn 10 new Jersey costumes.

There will also be a new “Raid Quest featuring Evil Yamcha” with an exclusive title to win.

In addition to the free content, five new teachers will be included including Future Gohan, Bardock, Cooler, Android 16, and Whis, details Windows Report.

Amid the upcoming DLC, Bandai Namco has not said anything about fixing some of the common issues and glitches that “Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2” gamers are still experiencing.

It can be recalled that the game was plagued by various problems on the gaming platforms and the PC upon its release on October 25.

Some of the issues include screen flickering, audio bugs, among others. While gamers are quite excited about the upcoming arrival of the game’s first DLC, they are still hopeful that Bandai Namco shall provide a solution to the common issues that have been hounding the game.

Dominating its predecessor

Bandai Namco has come out with another big winner with “Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2. A little over a month since the game’s official release date to the gaming consoles and the PC, “Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2” has already dominated its predecessor video game “Dragon Ball Xenoverse” by shipping more than five million units.

“Dragon Ball Xenoverse” reached 1.5 million units sold nearly a month after its release date to the PlayStation 4, the Xbox One, the PlayStation 3, the Xbox 360, and the PC in February last year.

As early as five days after the official release date of “Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2,” Bandai Namco already announced that the game has outpaced its predecessor when it posted 1.4 million units sold.

The game was just launched on the PlayStation 4 in Japan on November 2 and it was expected that the home market sales would contribute to its massive global sales figure before November 25, or one month after it officially came out worldwide.
