Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 First Ever DLC Brings Cabba and Frost as New Characters, Parallel Quests, Costumes, and Attacks!

True to its schedule, the first ever DLC for the fighting video game “Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2” was officially released for the PlayStation 4, the Xbox One, and the PC on December 20.

The new content came up with plenty for gamers to chew on but it is certainly highlighted by the addition of two new fighting characters in Cabba and Frost from the “Dragon Ball Super” anime.

In fact, Japanese game developer Bandai Namco has also released a new gameplay trailer for “Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2” featuring Cabba and Frost showing off their respective fighting moves, reports iDigital Times.

But the first DLC of the game came out with something more because, in addition to Cabba and Frost, it also included new skills, costumes, and attacks, much to the delight of the gamers.

An upcoming event

There is also a new event coming, which is to be known as the Frieza Siege Event, which will see players trying to defeat Frieza and his army in Conton City. Players who will win in the event shall be rewarded with 10 exclusive Jersey costumes.

In addition, there will also be a new raid boss to be called as Yamcha Raid Boss. Players need to fight and defeat the Evil Yamcha to win a very special title.

Prior to the release of the first ever DLC for “Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2,” there were also speculations about the possible characters who might be coming to the fighting video game.

The rumors then were saying that it is possible that Bandai Namco would add Champa and Vados. But there are also speculations saying that it could also be anybody from Zamasu, Super Saiyan Rose Black Goku, or Super Saiyan Blue Vegito.

As it turned out those rumors were merely fan wild guesses as it was Cabba and Frost who came out as new characters from the first ever DLC of “Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2.”

But it is possible that the character guesses may come out in the second DLC of the game to be released early next year, notes the iTech Post.

Did not come with fixes?

Amid the new DLC, Bandai Namco has not said anything about fixing some of the common issues and glitches that “Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2” gamers are experiencing.

It can be recalled that the game was plagued by various problems on the gaming platforms and the PC upon its release on October 25.

Some of the issues include screen flickering, audio bugs, among others. While gamers are quite excited with the arrival of the game’s first DLC, they are still hopeful that Bandai Namco would soon provide a solution to the common issues that have been hounding the game.

Incidentally, Bandai Namco has come out with another big winner with “Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2.” Almost two months since the game’s official release date to the gaming consoles and the PC, “Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2” has already dominated its predecessor video game “Dragon Ball Xenoverse” by shipping more than four million units less than two weeks later.

“Dragon Ball Xenoverse” reached 1.5 million units sold nearly a month after its release date to the PlayStation 4, the Xbox One, the PlayStation 3, the Xbox 360, and the PC in February last year.

As early as five days after the official release date of “Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2,” Bandai Namco already announced that the game has outpaced its predecessor when it posted 1.4 million units sold.

The game was just launched on the PlayStation 4 in Japan on November 2 and it was already expected to that the home market sales contributed to its massive global sales figure before December 1, or one month after it officially came out worldwide.
