Episode 25 of the popular and well-loved Japanese anime TV series “Dragon Ball Super” on Fuji TV was aired on December 26 and it showed the thrilling battle between intergalactic tyrant Frieza and Son Goku.
Their battle intensified further when both fighters transformed into their most powerful forms. Goku transformed into Super Saiyan Blue while Frieza metamorphosed into his Golden Frieza form.
For a while, Goku as Super Saiyan Blue startled Frieza but the latter still managed to throw Goku on the ropes and he was on a roll actually, notes the Christian Today.
That was the huge cliffhanger of the episode and fans and viewers of “Dragon Ball Super” will only know whether Goku shall be able to get up and even the score with Frieza in the next episode slated to be aired on January 17, 2016.
Turning the tables
According to a source privy to “Dragon Ball Super,” episode 26 of the animated TV series titled “A Chance of Victory in a Critical Situation! It is Time for a Counterattack, Son Goku!, Goku will be back on his feet.
More than getting back at his feet, Goku shall also be able to turn the tables on Frieza, who is already gloating over the momentary upper hand he enjoyed in their battle.
The thrill for the fans of “Dragon Ball Super” is how Goku will overcome and overpower his greatest foe ever.
According to leaks on YouTube, the fight will take both fighters to the highest level, with Goku delivering an attack that should finally take his foe down, reports the Christian Post.
It is yet unclear if the battle between Goku and Frieza will end in a similar way as it did in “Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F” movie where there were a lot of shocking turns including Vegeta being forced to fight Frieza when Goku got a surprise attack.
The movie also featured a surprising twist of fate not only for Goku but for the rest of the people on earth, including Vegeta. If similar events take place in the upcoming episode and if the episode shall feature basically the same ending as in the movie, fans will be in for another cliffhanger.
The return of Goku and Vegeta
It was during episode 23 that aired on December 13 when Goku and Vegeta finally returned to earth to battle against the powerful Frieza and his army.
Goku and Vegeta have been on training outside of earth with Whis. When they learned that Frieza has returned, the two Saiyan warriors felt that it was time to face the vicious villain once again.
During episode 22 of the animated TV series, Frieza was seen throwing some serious firepower at Gohan, who quickly fell to the ground, powerless.
Frieza was about to make his death strike on Gohan when Piccolo intercepted the blow against his fellow Z-fighter.
Episode 23 of “Dragon Ball Super” was officially titled “Earth! Gohan! A Desperate Situation! Hurry back Son Goku!” also showed Frieza powering up in front of the Saiyan Prince and Goku. Just as he did in “Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F” movie, Frieza switched into his final form.
And he transformed as soon as Goku and Vegeta arrived back on earth to face him, sensing that he will be up a more stiff challenge against the two Saiyan warriors.
The Saiyan warriors also had their own transformation but it did not happen on episode 23 or episode 24 but only on episode 25.
The 23rd episode of “Dragon Ball Super” also showed the ruthless Captain Ginyu finally meeting his end at the hands of Vegeta. However, the body-snatching villain got the chance to fight the rest of the Z-fighters before Goku and Vegeta arrived on the scene.
