‘Dragon Ball Super’ Episode 26 to Feature an Intensified Epic Battle Between Goku and Frieza!

Episode 26 of the popular Japanese anime TV series “Dragon Ball Super” will be airing on January 10 on Fuji TV and it will feature an intensified epic battle between Goku and Frieza.

The battle of Goku and Frieza actually resembles their tiff during the “Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F” movie but fans of the TV series should not at all be worried of a repeat because it would be different.

The end of the Resurrection F saga of “Dragon Ball Super” will pave the way for the Champa saga, indicating that after Frieza, the Saiyan warriors will be battling against the new villain Champa, notes Attack of the Fanboy.

The Champa saga will begin on the 28th episode of “Dragon Ball Super” to air on January 24 so the battle between Goku and Frieza will go on for the next two more episodes of the TV series.

Momentarily gaining the upper hand

In the upcoming episode 26 of “Dragon Ball Super,” and based also on its official trailer, Frieza will gain the upper hand over Goku. The latter is about to find himself on the receiving end of a serious beating from Frieza.

Goku was shown in much of the trailer in the ground so it is not clear how much fight is left with the Super Saiyan warrior.

While Goku is fighting Frieza, Vegeta is contemplating whether he should take Goku’s place in the battle against Frieza considering that he is seeing that Goku is getting a beating from Frieza.

Both Vegeta and Goku have a very strong sense of pride so they are not the type who would retreat or abandon a fight because it is not an option for them. So if Vegeta takes over from Goku, it only means that Goku is almost lifeless in the battle with Frieza, details Design & Trend.

The official trailer of episode 26 of “Dragon Ball Super” also featured the appearance of Champa, which is an obvious indication that Frieza’s defeat at the hands of the Super Saiyan warriors will be forthcoming soon.

Beating an old enemy to face a new one

A clear indication of the looming defeat of Frieza, which is still likely to come in the hands of Goku, is the title for episode 27 called, “The Decisive Kamehameha Goku.”

The episode 27 will air on January 17 and it is very likely that Frieza will meet his end the way he got it in the hands of Goku in the movie “Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F.”

After the Resurrection F part of “Dragon Ball Super” concludes on January 17, the Champa saga will begin. Reports have it that the Champa saga will introduce universe six, which is a mirror universe to Goku, Vegeta, and Beerus’ universe seven.

The saga will see Beerus and Champa start a Tenkaichi Budokai-esque tournament for all of their best fighters.

If Beerus’ fighters win, Champa will give him all but one of the Super Dragon Balls. But if Champa wins, Beerus will have to switch Earth’s with him so that Champa can enjoy the universe six’s dining delicacies.

Episode 28 to air on January 24 is when the new Champa saga begins. The episode is titled “Entry Stage! The God of Destruction Champa!”

It marks the start of a whole new saga for “Dragon Ball Super” but it won’t be just recycled content from the animated movies.

The subsequent episode 29 will be the second episode of the Champa saga and shall have a title of “Towards an Inter-Universe Combat Era!” to air on January 31.

Those looking for spoilers could no longer find one in previous animated movies of “Dragon Ball,” but they can actually get some from some of the manga about “Dragon Ball.”
