Episode 23 of the Japanese anime TV series “Dragon Ball Super” will air on Fuji TV on December 13 and based on the trailer of the upcoming episode, Goku and Vegeta will return to Earth to battle against the powerful Frieza and his army.
Goku and Vegeta have been in training outside of Earth with Whis. When they learned that Frieza has returned, the two Saiyan warriors felt that it was time to face the vicious villain once again, notes Design & Trend.
During episode 22 of the animated TV series, Frieza was seen throwing some serious firepower at Gohan, who quickly fell to the ground, powerless.
Frieza was about to make his death strike on Gohan when Piccolo intercepted the blow against his fellow Z-fighter.
Frieza’s ultimate form
The trailer for episode 23 of “Dragon Ball Super” officially titled “Earth! Gohan! A Desperate Situation! Hurry back Son Goku!” also showed Frieza powering up in front of the Saiyan Prince and Goku. Just as he did in “Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F,” Frieza will switch into his final form, details Youth Health Mag.
Frieza will transform as soon as Goku and Vegeta arrive back on Earth to face him, sensing that he will be up to a stiffer challenge against the two Saiyan warriors.
It is speculated that the Saiyan warriors would also have their own new transformation and it would be one of the most interesting things to watch out in the upcoming episode of “Dragon Ball Super.”
The trailer also showed the ruthless Captain Ginyu about to meet his end at the hands of Vegeta. However, the body-snatching villain will get the chance to fight first the rest of the Z-fighters before Goku and Vegeta arrive on the scene.
Continuing the action
The exciting events of the upcoming episode 23 actually follow the edge-of-your-seat actions during episode 22 where Goten, Trunks, and Captain Ginyu made their appearance.
Piccolo’s arm was ripped off by Tagoma, but the Z-fighter was able to regenerate it back. Super Saiyan Gotenks was able to knock out Frieza’s henchman, who exchanged bodies with Captain Ginyu.
It was only Gohan who was able to defeat Tagoma in Captain Ginyu’s body using his Super Saiyan form that ended with a fatal blast that Piccolo takes.
“Dragon Ball Super” is the first “Dragon Ball” TV series featuring a new storyline after 18 long years and is set after the defeat of Majin Boo when Earth has become peaceful once again.
Apparently, because of the animation’s massive reception among its fans even outside of Japan, the series has been extended.
Producers Toei Animation has yet to make an announcement as to how many more episodes will “Dragon Ball Super” have after its 20th episode.
During episode 20 of “Dragon Ball Super” that aired on November 22, it showed how Gohan and Vegeta were practicing with Whis in preparation for the return of Frieza.
It also featured the playful Goten and Trunks who were thinking how Jaco works, because the intergalactic patrol guy looks like a toy.
Jaco got annoyed obviously because his mission to Earth was not to play and have fun but to tell everyone that Frieza and his 1,000 soldiers are coming. He actually came to tell Goku that the villain and his men are on their way to Earth to attack. Jaco was not able to tell it to Goku, but he managed to tell it to Bulma.
Also during episode 20, Tagoma expressed his objections to Frieza’s plans to attack Earth with his 1,000 soldiers but Frieza showed Tagoma who is the boss by subduing him.
When Frieza learned that Goku has gotten much stronger since they last met, he also decided to start training in order to become more powerful.
