The Japanese anime TV series “Dragon Ball Super” was originally scheduled to have a 20-episode run on Fuji TV that began airing on July 15 and was suppose to culminate on November 22.
“Dragon Ball Super” is the first “Dragon Ball” TV series featuring a new storyline after 18 long years and is set after the defeat of Majin Boo when Earth has become peaceful once again.
Apparently, because of the animation’s massive reception among its fans even outside of Japan, the series has been extended.
Producers Toei Animation has yet to make an announcement as to how many more episodes will “Dragon Ball Super” have after its 20th episode, but its 21st episode is already set to air on November 29, officially titled “The Revenge Begins! The Frieza Army’s Malice Strikes Gohan!”
Based on the episode 21 synopsis, Frieza and his 1,000 soldiers will return to earth. While protagonists Goku and Vegeta are training very well to fight Frieza on his expected return after he was destroyed during his first try, the vengeful villain appears not intent on fighting Gohan and Piccolo when he and his soldiers arrive on Earth.
It seems that Frieza is not interested in the battle with the main protagonists. Instead, he orders his 1,000 alien-looking soldiers to attack Kuririn first and promising them that whoever takes Kuririn down will receive a planet of their choice for a reward, details Yibada.
But based on the episode title, it would seem that Frieza’s soldiers would also strike Gohan, which possibly means that Goku’s son will come to Kuririn’s rescue during the assault and take the fight to Frieza’s army.
A preview trailer
In addition to the synopsis, an official episode 21 preview trailer has also been released a few days ago, which showed Frieza and his army preparing to launch an attack on Earth.
It was also shown how Bulma will learn from Jaco the plans of Frieza. He would attempt to get Jaco’s message to Whis, who is still busy training with Goku and Vegeta, as shown during episode 20.
But Bulma will be stopped from delivering the message. Further confounding the woes is that there is hardly time to spare because Frieza and his army are about to land on Earth within an hour, details the Christian Post.
Fans and viewers of “Dragon Ball Super” should watch out for a huge battle in the upcoming episode between Frieza and his men and the group of Picollo, Gohan, and three other warriors. The five will do their best to protect their planet from the invaders while waiting for the return of Goku and Vegeta.
But before the confrontation, Bulma shall also have the opportunity to face Frieza and he would tell him to take his soldiers and leave the planet because he won’t like what will be befalling on them if they refuse to heed his suggestion.
Advanced information
During episode 20 that aired on November 22, it showed how Gohan and Vegeta were practicing with Whis outside of the planet in preparation for the return of Frieza.
It also featured the playful Goten and Trunks who were thinking how Jaco works, because the intergalactic patrol guy looks like a toy.
Jaco got annoyed obviously because his mission to Earth was not to play and have fun but to tell everyone that Frieza and his 1,000 soldiers are coming. He actually came to tell Goku that the villain and his men are on their way to Earth to attack. Jaco was not able to tell it to Goku, but he managed to tell it to Bulma.
Also during episode 20, Tagoma expressed his objections to Frieza’s plan to attack Earth with his 1,000 soldiers but Frieza showed Tagoma who is the boss by subduing him.
When Frieza learned that Goku has gotten much stronger since they last met, he also decided to start training in order to become more powerful.
