The franchise as a whole has been holding up very well, and it’s clear that EA would make a winning move by deciding to continue it in the future. There haven’t been any indications that this is happening so far, but we also don’t have a reason to believe that this will be the last game in the series.
Indeed, if anything, we would expect EA to speed up the development process and try to get the next game out even sooner, although BioWare are generally not a studio to rush their work so we can’t say how well that would work out.
Plus, it would be better to take the extra time and polish the game properly instead of releasing it just to meet a deadline, and risk repeating the fiasco with the “Mass Effect 3” ending or something along those lines. BioWare seem to have learned since then, but nobody is ever protected from making the same mistake twice.
Please give us a DLC that lets us change the face and hair of any NPC in
the game. This way I can make Cassandra Pentaghast look like a female,
make Josephine attractive, make Sera no longer look like gollum and
give Vivienne hair so I can focus on what she is talking about instead
of staring at her bald head.
