Dragon Age: Inquisition DLC to Be more Story-Driven, According to Developers!

According to Mike Laidlaw, creative designer at BioWare studio, the company is looking to make the DLC of “Dragon Age: Inquisition” even more story-driven, adding more plot elements to the main game and expanding what players already got to see in the original storyline. As can be expected, this announcement was received very positively by the game’s community, as a stronger focus on the storyline is one of the things that players have wanted to see in future DLC, judging by online discussions.

Something else that Laidlaw revealed was that the game is not going to feature the protagonist from “Dragon Age: Origins” as it would be difficult, if not impossible, to include him in the story and keep it canon. Some fans have been arguing about that, claiming that it should still be possible to add him in some way without messing up the plotline, but this seems to be the final stance of the studio.

EA have also announced something that made their fans very happy, stating that the game is going to support cross-buying, meaning that purchasing it on one platform will give players access to the game on other generations of the same platform without requiring an extra purchase. So for example, someone buying the game on the Xbox 360 would also have access to it on the Xbox One, and there will be a similar deal for PlayStation owners as well.

Players have also been given a special task by the game’s developer, requiring them to go around the game’s world and take pictures of themselves at different landmarks. This will all lead up to the release of a special prize on June 12, but according to the studio, this will not be an easy hunt. Players will be required to discover the landmarks “before the enemy does”, and it looks like they have taken special care to make the spots as spread out as possible in order to force their players to move around a little.

Most recently, the game saw the release of the “Jaws of Hakkon” DLC for the single player part, as well as “The Black Emporium” and “Dragonslayer” for multiplayer. Most fans of the title have been very positive towards the new content, leaving strong reviews for it and claiming that BioWare are doing a great job with the game’s post-release support.

And it looks like they will get even more goodies in the future if the studio continues their current trend, as BioWare have been very devoted to developing new content for the title and pushing it even further towards realizing its full potential.

  1. Please give us a DLC that lets us change the face and hair of any NPC in
the game. This way I can make Cassandra Pentaghast look like a female,
make Josephine attractive, make Sera no longer look like gollum and
give Vivienne hair so I can focus on what she is talking about instead
of staring at her bald head.
