The upcoming episodes of “Downton Abbey” are shaping up to be getting very emotional, and it looks like the show is going to give its fans something interesting to think about for a little while. At least the emotions are going to be positive ones, however – that’s what the latest reports about the new plot developments are saying, and it looks like the writers have been putting a lot of effort into coming up with a story that brings their fans to tears of joy.
While the special episode in question featured some pretty regular plot developments on one side, it also had various more special moments at the same time and it introduced some changes to the show’s setup which might be seen as a bit strange by some fans, but should definitely set the production up for amazing future episodes later on.
The main event in the new episode is the wedding of Charlie and Elsie, who get married in front of a large audience in a ceremony which everyone really loves, and the episode as a whole is written in quite the special way in order to evoke some feelings among fans. Most notably, there is a major speech that is going to really make fans tear up and help them realize the charged emotional state of what’s happening on the screen, but there were a few other surprises in there as well which are going to drive the story forward in an emotional way.
It’s obvious that the writers are setting up something quite large for the upcoming episodes, as they aren’t just going to leave this part of the plot like that. They have been working hard to build up to this moment and the delivery was spectacular, but at the same time this is something that can be explored even further in future episodes and we’re sure that there is something even more special prepared for later on.
The appearance of Tom Branson along with Sybbie was a nice addition to the whole episode, and it’s something that many fans loved seeing in particular. It was a joyful moment for pretty much everyone on the screen, and judging by discussions about the show on the Internet, it was also a pretty strong moment in the episode for most fans watching the production and following the development of its plot.
One of the big surprises was the fact that Tom was actually back permanently at this point. Some fans weren’t expecting to see him again and it really did seem like the writers got rid of his character before, despite the reassurances from some sides that he will actually come back in the future. It looks like that time is now and the character really is here to stay. It would be interesting to see how this ties into the overall plot in the long run and how the writers will handle this part of the story.
There have been hints that the future episodes in this season might bring some very dramatic changes that will not be very enjoyable for most fans, and that the current situation with the wedding was only meant to drive up excitement among the community of fans before the writers “pull the plug” and turn the show to a more emotional state. Knowing how they have been handling it so far, we can definitely see this happening at some point, and fans might want to prepare for that adequately.
