Downton Abbey Season 5 Goes Live Early Next Year, Crew Meets up in New York for Promotional Event!

Downton Abbey Season 5 is scheduled to be aired in North America by PBS. The makers are currently preparing the promotional event, a major part of which was a Q & A session. A few of the renowned stars of the show were present at the event, which was held in New York recently.

The British crew was asked whether they wanted a part of the upcoming storyline to be filmed in New York since they were promoting the event in this part of the world. Executive Producer Gareth Neame mentioned that he would like to work on something on a similar line in the near future, although, the situation is yet to be ascertained.

Neame mentioned that the producers would have to invest nearly $10 Million if they wanted to film a certain part of the popular series in New York. Not that the sum is irrecoverable, but the Producers’ panel is yet to decide on such a possibility. As the Crawleys have relatives in America, a section from the audiences believed that the question would be practical and related. Not that we are complaining!

Shirley MacLaine and Paul Giamatti portrayed the characters of the American relatives of the Crawleys in Downton Abbey, although, their presence in Season 5 is yet to be confirmed. The duo played a part in Season 4 and rumor has it that they could make a comeback this season too, The Star reported.

Downton Abbey Season 5 is scheduled to go live on January 5th, 2015, which means that the show is less than four weeks away. The excitement among the fans is obvious, and it is the same in most parts of the world, including America.

Apart from the Q & A sessions with PBS, a few cast members woke up early to attend an interview with The Star, and we have a few very interesting leads to report from the conversation.

Hugh Bonneville, better known as Robert Crawley to the fans, reported that Downton Abbey Season 5 has no mysterious deaths like the Mathew Crawley incident, which took place last season. “In all fairness we can say that there will be nothing as gruesome this season.” He stated.
