Perfect World is ready to release a patch that is bringing new items that will be made available for the Dota Asia Champions tournament next year. The update is going to bring many front end changes, model fixes and neutral creep updates. As part of the latest update, new Crystal Maiden’s animations will be added that should address issues that came along with update number 6.83. Other animations that are expected with the new software include those for Tusk.
Tusk’s animations will be update to restore one of the most popular moves that he does, the Dizzying Punch. There will be a custom loadout and teleport animations as well. Tusk will also be given a new location for his loadout spawn animation. When it comes to model fixes, the update will address a couple of them as well. The first one is going to be Luna models. The Luna mount will come with a new, higher quality texture. Mirana’s models that are updated will be the Nightsilver Gryphon Mount, which has been fixed and will finally appear correct when in game.
The update that was released on the 19th of this month is also going to bring new ability icons. New icons have been added for the Forest High Troll High Priest’s Mana Aura and Hellbear Smashers Swiftness Aura. Icon updates are typically not that big of deal, but any little detail that can be addressed during the updates is a good thing. As previously mentioned, the update is getting the game ready for the Dota 2 Asia Championship 2015 where 16 teams will compete for the grand honor.
There will be more content added that include preparation images and more updates to immortal items. The tournament will be free to watch in game on Dota TV and will feature a quarter of a million dollars as a base prize pool. The prize pool will be added to at a rate of 25% of the Compendium Point Sales until Monday, February 9th. You will be able to unlock new items with just 25 points, just like players were able to last year. The rewards do not stop there as a total of 2400 Compendium Points can be attained.
Blessed Luckvessel will be featured in the Dota 2 Asia Championship 2015 tournament and include more particle effects for the Immortal items inside. These are just a few of the major updates that are coming with the new software. NPC’s will not be forgotten about and data files will be updated as well, including Beastmaster’s Boar will have a tooltip to show the poison duration. Tusks Walrus Punch will be updates and will work correctly, as well as Phoenix’s Dive will also be updated.
